My Opinion About PerfectVideo:
Video enthusiasts who can't get enough porn in their lives have yet another online library of DVDs to choose from at Perfect Video. There's a choice of 34 categories at your finger tips, and what particularly interested me about this site was the promise of never-seen-before technology. I couldn't really imagine what was meant by this, but it certainly was a large claim I hadn't seen before.
Perfect Video offered a total of 101 DVD titles and 555 scenes on the day of my visit. You can browse by niche and there's a keyword search, or there's also a list of pornstar names. While there isn't a list of titles, you can use the keyword search to find specific DVD series, directors, and there are alphabetical lists as well as rated lists. You cannot search by studio, though. Still, I felt this was a sufficient number of navigational options.
When it comes to niches, I'd say that most of the categories will appeal to those of you who identify as straight. There's a touch of gay, bi and tranny content and there's even a bit of fetish, but the categories filled with the largest number of videos include anal, big boobs, blondes, brunettes, DP and one-on-one. Each DVD comes with a description so that you can get a taste of the movie before downloading and while all films tend to be over an hour long, they're divided into complete scenes (meaning from foreplay to money shot) that are approximately 25 minutes in duration. While the month of October only delivered 8 movies, there were 18 DVDs delivered the previous month, but there didn't seem to be any consistency to the update schedule. The best I can tell you is that there will be at the very least 2 new flicks a week.
The newest movie was called Fashion Dolls. The scene I watched was a 15-minute lesbian flick starring Nicole Sheridan and Daisy Chain. While I could have streamed the film in the embedded Flash player, I decided to download the WMV, but I can't say that I experienced any mind-blowing new technology. Navigation and downloads were as they always are when I look at video sites. I think that PerfectVideo.com should probably better explain this "new" technology because I was seriously at a loss, especially when the 800Kbps 640x480 movie downloaded. However, just as I was about to go off and look at something else, I realized there was a barely noticeable link to "customize and watch scene". I still didn't get it, though. I didn't see any options I could choose to customize a DVD the way I wanted to view it.
Nonetheless, the movies were good. I watched another flick called Legal Skin. It opens on a street in Europe. A model named Jasmine finds the address she's looking for and goes into the office to apply for a nude modelling gig. Dialogue is in English, and like many of the DVDs, the scenes are scripted. Acting is pretty bad as far as acting goes, but it's not that surprising in the porn business. The image quality was pretty good, but I preferred the downloads over the streams. The streaming films did a lot of buffering, which I found more irritating than waiting for a flick to download. Sex is much hotter than the acting, and it didn't take long for Jasmine to get naked. What I loved about this particular film was that none of the sex took place in a bedroom. Jasmine and her photographer go at it in a studio setting using only a chair to change up their positions and there are lots of hot ways in which they have sex.
Final Verdict:
PerfectVideo has a good variety of straight and fetish hardcore that you will definitely get off on if you have a heart beat. The movie quality wasn't quite as perfect as I imagined it would be and the site could definitely improve in this area. Also, I was confused about the new technology the site was using. In the end, I think that once there are more movies (and it's not that there aren't enough already) the site will rival other video download sites. However, at the moment, the price of Perfect Video is perfect for the number of DVDs offered.
